The
ruthless Imperial Intelligence Controller, Ysanne Isard was known
to those who feared her as Iceheart. Isard's career began with the
mysterious death of her father, and her sudden placement into Palpatine's
court. It was here that she met Mara Jade.
Isard always suspected that Mara was something more than the simple
plaything Palpatine presented her as, but never confirmed this until
the Emperor's death and subsequent capture of Mara. Isard believed
Mara was the key to taking control of the entire Empire, but was foiled
when Mara managed to escape, against all odds, from the Imperial Palace.
This failure was a major setback to Ysanne Isard, but her plans continued.
She is the reason the Republic retook Coruscant, only to find it infected
with the deadly Krytos Virus while she conquered Thyferra, the home
of Bacta production. Eventually, Isard was defeated by Rogue Squadron,
and her personal Super Star Destroyer, Lusankya, was captured by the
Republic. |

Born
to Han and Leia Solo during the attacks of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Jaina
Solo was a celebrity to the Republic even before her birth. Twin sister
to Jacen Solo, they are the first two grandchildren of Anakin Skywalker.
Jaina took after her father more then her mother. She became interested
in all things mechanical and flying, often working with her father,
Han, to fix up the Millenium Falcon. She trained at the Jedi Academy
with her Uncle Luke, and fought against the Imperial Shadow Academy
and later the Diversity Alliance. It was during the time of peace
after the treaty with the Empire that she became Mara Jade's apprentice.
Mara and Jaina developed a great relationship. When the war against
the Yuuzhan Vong began, Jaina was on the front line, backing up Mara
who was under assault from a mysterious disease. Jaina was later tapped
for Rogue Squadron. She excelled as a pilot but as anti-Jedi sentiments
began to appear in the senate, she was forced to step down from the
position after sustaining injuries.
Since the Jedi commando mission against the Vong and the destruction
of the Voxyn, Jaina has taken on the mantle of Yun-Harrla, the Yuzhaan
Vong Trickster Goddess and twin to their War God, as a way to demoralize
and confuse the enemy. Since taking on this guise, her relationship
with Mara has been strained, but while the master/apprentice relationship
is gone, both respect each other and the two remain friends. |
