DECEMBER
2004
Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote last! Sorry! That's what
happens with such a big household. I guess the first news to address is HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Now, let's go backwards: This past weekend I attended the Christmas social for the D.C. area SW collector's club. What nice people! Willow, Riley and I went to their meeting in Laurel and had a wonderful time. We took pictures with Santa Yoda, had a traditional dinner, and met lots of great fans. Thanks so much for the lovely afternoon guys!!!
Okay, Paris was in September. I should have photos for you soon. The weather was rainy and chilly, but the fans were so nice! It was a quick trip, but so nice. I had the chance to meet quite a few actors from Lord of the Rings and Hellraiser. Wow, do I love that Doug Bradley! He still scares me! I also saw many old friends from SW...Nalini, Angus....Thank you to Pulp's for bringing me over. I look forward to going again soon!
Next back would be San Diego Comicon! What an amazing con. I have never seen so much beautiful SW stuff.... the life size fighter, all of the costumes, the boothes. There was so much to look at and do. Carrie, Mark, Jeremy, Peter, Ray!!!!! WoW! Michonne, Amy and I all shared a room in this horrible little hotel, and we had the best time! Oh and thanks to my friend Todd for taking us out each night for food and fun. San Diego is always my favorite.
Then Mexico a few days later. I have to say I thought the Japanese fans were the most devoted, but I'm not certain now. The group in Mexico City was just above and beyond. I am so happy to have been a part of that event. From the opening night with the symphony, to meeting at least 50 fan groups. There was even a girl hired to run around the con dressed as me! Thanks to everyone there. It was really one of my all time favorite events to have attended. And thanks to Steve Sansweet for getting me there. Michonne, Amy, Ray, Daniel and I had the best time!!!!!!!!!!
So, that's it for cons so far this year. But don't forget that I'll be in D.C. on the 12th!!!! It may be my last appearance there. We have gotten notice that we will soon have orders back to Virginia, which for all who know me, is a very good thing. That means we will be at home when the next baby comes. YES, I said next baby. I'll let you know the due date when we actually have one, but it looks like the end of summer, beginning of fall. And we do hope it's a girl. Riley is such a little man already, I don't think I can handle two of them!!! Just pray that I get Rye potty trained this summer before little Haven or Logan gets here!!!!
Oh, last but not least. I get mail everyday that asks if I will be attending C3. They have not yet sent out invites. I can only hope that I will be a part of things. C2 was so amazing. Just the shear number of fans and events. If I am invited, I will go, of course. But from everyone I've talked to, including characters in the new movie, no one has gotten the official word. I will post it one way or the other as soon as I hear anything.
Well, take care, keep signing the guest book, I read it all the time, and have a really great Holiday season. A big welcome home to my friend Ellen's husband Phil who has been protecting us overseas, and don't forget to say a prayer for the soldiers still there. I wish all of you the best. Talk to you soon.
Kisses,
Shannon
