Shannon McRandle Diary Archive
NOVEMBER 2002
Hello to all of my fans and friends!

I'm sorry it has been so long. First of all, I'd like to say thank you to Alan Fore and his coworkers for taking over the site when John Laurel had to let it go. Thanks John for your great work the last couple of years. I'm excited about the new look and new features and hope everyone likes it. Please continue to send in positive feedback when possible and keep the information and pictures coming! We'll have the other sections up as quickly as we can.

Secondly, my personal life has gone through some major changes. On September 18th of this year, I got married. Many of you got to meet him at Celebration II in Indiana and at the Clones premier in Chicago. His name is Jamie McRandle. We are facing family and friends at a reception here at the beach in December. No time for any fun when we got married because he was whisked off for some training up in Rhode Island! We also just found out that we are expecting a baby the first of June. His first, and he is very excited. Now we are getting ready to move out of Virginia for a bit to Maryland so he can finish school. My daughter and I are very proud of him and excited about the move. Which brings me to my daughter, Willow. So many people ask about her at cons and in mail. Thank you so much. She is happy and healthy. She's nearly four and a half and already calling Jamie her daddy. She takes ballet and tap and spends time on her climbing wall, playing with her Barbies, and at the playground. She did quite well with swim lessons this summer, and is wrapping up her last semester of pre-k. And she is still an avid Star Wars fan!

Professionally, since the last time we talked, I believe I've only done one convention. I was in Detroit in October. It was a great show. The welcome was warm and the fans were friendly and talkative. Thanks for a fantastic weekend! I also attended the opening of Clones in IMAX right here at home. I think Willow enjoyed that the most. Modeling and make-up were steady thru the summer, but now that I'm starting to "show" I'll be working a little less. I will let you know if any maternity work comes along. I did quite a bit at the end of the last term with Willow. The last convention I have this year is a Jedicon in Germany. I leave Thanksgiving morning and return the following week. I've never been to Hamburg before, and from the amount of e-mail I've gotten already, it looks like quite a good show.

So, that should get everyone caught up. I'll write everytime something new happens or something exciting comes along. We'll also stay on top of updating the pictures and fan sections of the site. Please send in what you have if you'd like to see it here! And don't be shy about ordering photos. It will be the only way to get them for some time, as I plan to stay close to home the first few months after the baby comes! I wish you all the best. Thankyou for looking me up again here at the new site. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Don't forget to say a little prayer of thanks for all the soldiers overseas taking care of our safety while we are home warm and safe.

All my best!

Always,
Shannon McRandle (no more Baksa)!
